A Family Adventure
A Family
Affair
The story of Hôtel Club Le Crêt in Morzine began in 1947 with a simple yet ambitious dream: to share the love of the mountains and the art of hospitality. That year, Lydie and Robert opened a family home with only six rooms in a village that was just beginning to write the first pages of its tourism history. Driven by a pioneering spirit and a true passion for welcoming guests, they envisioned a warm place where travelers could discover the riches of Morzine in a friendly and authentic atmosphere. From the very first years, the values that still define the establishment today were already present: simplicity, generosity, and a deep attachment to the mountains.
Our Commitment
innovation in the service
of hospitality
Visionary and always forward-looking, Lydie actively contributed to the development of the establishment. In 1950, she undertook a particularly audacious project for the time: the creation of Morzine’s first Olympic swimming pool. An initiative that perfectly illustrates the spirit of innovation that has driven the family since the beginning. As mountain tourism gradually developed in the Alps, the establishment already distinguished itself by its desire to offer its visitors facilities and services ahead of their time. This ability to evolve while maintaining its authenticity would become one of the guiding threads of its history.
Heritage &
Transmission
A few years later, a new chapter began with the arrival of Jojo, Lydie and Robert’s son, accompanied by his wife Catherine. Together, they continued to develop the establishment and strengthen its family identity. Their sense of hospitality, their closeness to vacationers, and their constant desire to improve visitors’ experience helped make Hôtel Club Le Crêt in Morzine an essential address in the resort. Over the decades, the establishment expanded, modernized, and welcomed a growing number of travelers coming to discover the pleasures of the mountains in both summer and winter.
